Spring In Rocky Mountain National Park

In Rocky Mountain National Park, there are a variety of things to do in the spring, depending on the weather.

In March and April, you can enjoy:
•cross country skiing

In late May, Trail Ridge Road opens for the season, and you can take a scenic drive along the highest continuously paved road in the United States (reaching an elevation of 12,183 feet).

In May and June, you can enjoy:
•nature programs at the visitor centers
•horseback riding
•bird watching
•biking and mountain biking
•mountain climbing and mountaineering
•camping (in late June, depending on whether the snow has melted sufficiently)
•wildlife viewing (elk, deer, bears, coyotes, moose, and bighorn sheep)

Rocky Mountain National Park is also a great place to visit in the summer, fall, and winter.
